Mount Stuart Primary School has celebrated Eid with a community art project, in collaboration with Nathan Wyburn and The Red Dragon Centre.

Pupils from Mount Stuart Primary School created a drawing of what Eid means to them before the drawings were put into a breathtaking mural by Welsh artist Nathan Wyburn.

The mural has been on display in the heart of The Red Dragon Centre for visitors to enjoy from Eid al-Adha to Eid al-Fitr.

The pupils came to the Centre to collect the mural to take it back to its new permanent home at the school, receiving a summer treat from EasyThali.

Nathan specialises in creating pieces out of non-traditional mediums and was a finalist on Britain’s Got Talent in 2011, creating a portrait of judge Michael McIntyre out of Marmite on toast.

Emma Constantinou, Marketing Manager at The Red Dragon Centre, said: “We’re so pleased with how the mural turned out, and how many pupils at Mount Stuart took part in joining us celebrate the holiday.

“Nathan is such an incredible talent and we’ve loved showcasing more of his pieces this year, with the Eid mural being followed by a Pride showcase of his work.”

The Red Dragon Centre hosts a variety of interactive, lifestyle, and dining venues, including Odeon Cinema, with Wales’ only IMAX screen, and Hollywood Bowl. Other attractions include Grosvenor Casino, Five Guys, Spice Route, Volcano, EasyThali, and Zaika. The Centre also houses the Capital FM South Wales studio, formerly Red Dragon FM and Heart FM, where Josh and Kally broadcast their Capital Drive Show live every weekday.
